He said his faction would accept party secretary Posta Bahadur Bogati as the head of such a committee. "If not, we will also accept another party secretary, CP Gajurel, to lead the committee," Bajgain said.
The party establishment is in favor of giving the responsibility to either incumbent chief Saligram Jammakattel or union in-charge Shakti Basnet.
Lal Dhwoj Nembang, who leads the Bhattarai faction of the union, also stated that the party should pick a Standing Committee member to head such a committee.
The Maoists are holding a meeting of party top office-bearers on Tuesday to settle factional disputes in its trade union. The three union leaders representing the three different party factions will be invited to the meeting.
