KATHMANDU, July 31: Senior leader of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli has said that UCPN (Maoist) should not be allowed to lead the new government until and unless it gives up the ultra-leftist thinking and arms.

Speaking at a programme in the capital Saturday, Oli claimed that the Maoists´ target to capture state powers won´t be fulfilled. [break] A game of purchasing lawmakers to form the majority government is likely to be played, he said and reiterated the party´s decision not to vote for any party during the prime minister´s election.

The third-round of the PM´s election scheduled for August 2 will again fail to elect the prime minister, he claimed and said the party should take a right decision to end the protracted political deadlock facing the country. He also urged the party leadership to call the Central Committee meeting at the earliest.
