Maoist sweeps Rolpa-2

KATHMANDU, April 12: Santosh Budha Magar of Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) defeated his nearest rival CPN-UML candidate Hari Prasad Gharti Magar with a huge margin in Rolpa-2 by-elections. Magar retained the seat vacated by party chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal by securing 19,933. Gharti Magar bagged 6,132 votes.
