Maoist strike concludes

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: The three-day general strike called by the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) for ‘reestablishing the civilian supremacy’ concluded on Tuesday afternoon.



Vehicles were seen on the streets of Kathmandu which were deserted of vehicles from Sunday. The Maoists are holding a mass gathering at New Baneshwor where Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to address.



The life across the nation was affected on Tuesday – the third and final day of the strike.



At Gongabu, Kathmandu, the strike enforcers vandalized an ambulance of registration plate Ba 6 Cha 6444.
