Maoist nominates 9 Madhes-based leaders

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: UCPN (Maoist) has nominated nine more Madhes based leaders in its 231-member general convention organizing committee on Wednesday. With the addition, the committee has now has 240 members while total number of Madhesi leaders in the committee is 32.



Madhes-based leaders had been demanding the party leadership to nominate more members from Madhes. [break]



The meeting of the party office bearers nominated Debendra Patel who had defeated CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal from Rautahat in the CA elections. Other include Umesh Yadav, Ashok Mandal, Harinarayan Chaudhari, Bindeshor Yadav, Raju Harijan and Chinak Kurmi.



"We will not struggle any more. Our demands are fulfilled," said Ram Kumar Sharma, general convention organizing committee member.
