Khadka, who is also the Central Committee (CC) member of the UCPN (Maoist), was suffering from terminal cancer. [break]
He had recently returned to Kathmandu after treatment in New Delhi and was admitted to B&B Hospital two days ago. He breathed his last Monday morning. He is survived by his mother, wife and a son.
Khadka was elected CA member from Constituency-2 of Jhapa district. Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and Maoist top leaders including chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Senior Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya and Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhatarai paid their last tributes to his body kept at the Maoist party head office at Paris Danda before the body was flown to Biratnagar for cremation.
He would be cremated in his home district, Jhapa. Few Months back, Ram Kuaridevi Yadav, another CA member from the UCPN (Maoist), had died of burn injuries.
