Maoist for changing national flag

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) has proposed in the Constituent Assembly to change the national flag in view of the federalism that the country will adopt after the promulgation of the new constitution.



Such a flag should have stars to represent the number of the states that will be decided later by the Constituent Assembly.



But Nepali Congress, Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxists) and Nepal Workers´ and Peasants´ Party have opposed the Maoist proposal.
