Bindeshwar Mahato, a resident of Rampur Birta village-5 of Siraha, was shot dead Friday night while watching a wedding procession in Manaharwa, according to District Police Office (DPO) of Siraha. Police are still clueless as to who shot Mahato.[break]
Mahato was a district committee member of the UCPN (Maoist). Hari Narayan Chaudhari, the Siraha in-charge of the UCPN (Maoist), has demanded a fair investigation into Mahato´s murder.
This is the second case of murder in Mirchaiya area of Siraha in the last month.
