Maoist Center to send ministers today

CHITWAN, Feb 20: CPN (Maoist Center) will recommend three of its party leaders to join the KP Sharma Oli led government today.


Speaking at a news conference in Bharatpur today, party’s chairperson, Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the two parties would unify under Nepal Communist Party as both reached agreement on their principles. As per agreement, Dahal and Oli will be co-chairs of the party until the party’s general convention takes place after two years. Until then, Oli will be the country’s prime minister.

As per the agreement reached yesterday, taskforces have been formed to prepare the interim political report, interim statute and organizational framework of the new political party, the Nepal Communist Party. 


In the process, old committees of both the parties would dissolve within a week and move in line with suggestions from new task force. The two parties will be one after registering for the same in the Election Commission.
