BANEPA, Nov 27: Chairperson of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his party is committed to the development of the hilly district of Kavrepalanchowk.

Stating that Rs 500 million has already been allocated for the construction of blacktopped road from the district headquarters to the village centers, Dahal said that the work would be completed on time.

Addressing the first municipal convention of Mahabharat Rural Municipality Committee held on Friday over-the-phone, Dahal said that he was engaged in the campaign to expand his party and form a new revolutionary party.

As the process for the Kokhajor River Hydropower Project is moving forward, necessary assistance will be provided for it and the road connecting Phaparbari and Makawanpur through Ghartichhap from Pinthali will be upgraded, said Dahal.

The former PM said that he was involved in the campaign to hold a national-level conference through wards, municipalities, and provinces starting from the tolls across the country.

On the occasion, federal lawmaker Ganga Bahadur Tamang and Bagmati Provincial Assembly Member Ratna Dhakal also promised development of the remote hills of the district.

Dahal addressed the event over the phone from Kathmandu as he could not reach there due to bad weather.
