Maoist Center Central Committee meeting being held today

KATHMANDU, March 7: A Central Committee meeting of the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) is being held in Kathmandu on Monday. 


Secretary of the CPN (Maoist Center) Central Office Shree Ram Dhakal informed that the meeting will be held at 11 AM at Anupam Foodland. The meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) Central Committee started last Friday. The meeting, which was postponed twice on Sunday, will be held today.

He said that the agenda of today's meeting will include giving a full shape to the central committee, formation of the politburo and the standing committee of the party.


The Maoist Center has started preparations for the selection of a standing committee along with the office-bearers. Current issues including MCC were discussed in the meeting last Friday.


According to Dhakal, the agenda of the meeting will be the formulation of an action plan and organization. The eighth General Convention of the Maoist Center held last December had selected a total of 247 central members.
