Maoist cadres seize four trucks

SAPTARI, July 5: Activists of the CPN-Maoist (Matrika Yadav) have seized four trucks loaded with timber at Phattepur VDC of Saptari since Monday morning on suspicion that the timber in the trucks could be red sandalwood.



The said the police released the trucks heading from Bhojpur to Sunsari by taking bribes from the drivers even when the Maoist cadres handed over the trucks to the police at first. Police said they had released the timber as the consignment was authorized by forest office.
