The banda in what the Maoists call Kirat region (comprising Udayapur, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Sankhuwasabha and Khotang) has hit life. The Maoist cadres vandalized two motorcycles in Udayapur, reported Sagarmatha TV.

The UCPN (Maoist) has called relay banda in different regions of the country to protest the president´s move to reinstate army chief who was sacked by the cabinet. The current series of protests is also against alleged India´s encroachment of Nepali territory. The banda has been resisted by people in several places over the last few days.
