Mantra Band’s lead guitarist Praggya gives update on accident

After the car accident of Mantra’s members, the band announced that the injury is not critical. Mantra band’s lead guitarist, Praggya Lama and the vocalist Bhaskar Dewan got into a car accident during their trip in Pokhara on September 8.

After the car accident of Mantra’s members, the band announced that the injury is not critical. Mantra band’s lead guitarist, Praggya Lama and the vocalist Bhaskar Dewan got into a car accident during their trip in Pokhara on September 8.

Praggya took the video with Jeewan Gurung, the vocalist of The Edge Band and uploaded on Mantra’s official Facebook page on Monday. On the video, he said, “It’s true that we met an accident which went viral on social media. However, we just had minor head injuries. We are safe by god’s grace.”


Mantra is a popular Nepali band based on Darjeeling formed in 1999 and is not a new name for those who love rock genre in Nepali music. They have given hits like ‘Sadhai Sadhai’, ‘Bir Gorkhali’, ‘Himali Nepali’, ‘Sanskriti’, ‘Ekantama’ and many more.


To mark their 20th year of establishment, the band has released a new version of their evergreen hit ‘Sadhai Sadhai’ on their official YouTube channel. In the new version of the song, Mantra has collaborated with various other Nepali artists. Also, the band has released the latest music track ‘Lahure’ depicting the feeling of soldiers.
