“Although our genuine demands have not been addressed by the hospital management, we have decided to return to work,” reads a press statement issued by All Nepal Progressive Public Health Workers Association.
The association, however, has warned of more stringent protests after the Dashain festival.
The association had called for an indefinite strike three weeks ago demanding pay on par with Indian doctors at the hospital.
Earlier, Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG), which operates MCOMS, had threatened to close down all services if Nepali doctors did not call off their strike.
