Permission mandatory for govt health workers to work at private hospitals

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: The government has introduced a new directive making it mandatory for the government health workers to take permission for working at private hospitals and clinics.

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: The government has introduced a new directive making it mandatory for the government health workers to take permission for working at private hospitals and clinics.


Those health workers willing to work in private hospitals and clinics have to apply for permission at the Health Ministry by March 13.

The private hospitals and clinics also have to receive approval from the Health Ministry before appointing any government health staffers at their hospitals.


Those who employ the government health workers at their private hospitals without approval will be penalized in line with the law and their mandate will not be renewed reads the new directive issued by the government.
