KATHMANDU, Oct 12: A-Division outfit Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) has signed a sponsorship deal for the league with Signature, a premium international whiskey brand, on Thursday.
As part of the deal, the club will be known as Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club. According to the agreement, Manang will receive Rs 2.5 million.

Manang, who has been playing national and international tournaments since 1982, is one of the most successful Nepali clubs. It has also won Nepal’s national league for the most number of times.
Executive Chairman of Nepal Liquor Private Limited Rajesh Bir Singh Tuladhar said that the company signed a contract with the club in order to encourage the hidden talents at local levels, for which branding was important.
“The sponsorship will help encourage such talents and take the cooperation to greater heights,” Tuladhara said, “This agreement will help Nepali football spectators feel more excitement watching football.’’
Manang will kick off its Martyr’s Memorial A-Division League season with a clash against Brigade Boys Club on Friday, before the league ends for Dashain and Tihar.
