DHANGADHI, Jan 12: Manang Marsyangdi Club has reached the final of the ongoing Sudur Paschim Khaptad Gold Cup football tournament registering 3-1 win over Delhi United of India on Thursday. Anil Gurung scored twice while Olawala O Afeej added another in the A Division outfit's win over the visiting team.
New track under-construction to connect Chame to Upper Manang
In the semifinal match played at Dhangadhi Stadium, Delhi United took early lead in the match with Thopi's goal in the 2nd minute. But Manang came back in the game just five minutes later as captain Anil Gurung scored a beautiful goal from 18 yards in the 7th minute.
Manang backed by local fans made it 2-1 just before the first half with Olawala O Afeej's goal. Man-of-the-match Anil notched his personal second goal of the match in the 89th minute and helped his team seal 3-1 victory.
