KATHMANDU, Dec 9: A plainclothes police team deployed on the basis of special information from the Victim Assistance Unit of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) arrested a man with fake driving licenses on Tuesday.

Ashish Giri, 28, who originally hails from Sindhupalchowk, Sangachok Gadhi Municipality-12, now residing in Madhyapur Thimi, Bhaktapur, was arrested from Bhaktapur yesterday. According to MTPD, his Hyundai I20 car with Ba 15 Cha 4684 number has been seized along with 38 fake driving licenses and cheque books of different banks and they have been sent to the Metropolitan Police Office, Thimi for further investigation and necessary action.
