SIRAHA, July 12: A man who was trapped in the tree lying in the middle of the Kamala river situated at Bandipur of Karjanha Municipality-2 in Siraha district has been rescued twelve hours after he found himself in a trap.
Bidru Mukhiya climbed the tree lying in the middle of Kamala river to save his life after the bank of the river became a raging torrent.

Mukhiya shouted for help to draw the attention of people around Kamala river after climbing the tree that protected him from danger.
He earns his livelihood as a vegetable farmer. He climbed the tree after a raging torrent of flood swept away his makeshift house.
After an effort to airlift him out of danger by a helicopter became unsuccessful due to bad weather, a joint squad of Nepal Army personnel, Nepal Police personnel and Armed Police personnel was deployed to rescue him in the flood-hit area, according to Chief District Officer Gopal Kumar Adhikari.
The rescue team succeeded in rescuing him after flood abated.
