Man surrenders after committing a horrendous crime in Dhading

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: A 26-year-old man has surrendered to the police after murdering a 63-year-old man in Dhading.


According to the police, Raju Pariyar from Khalchet, Nilkantha Municipality-13 of Dhading murdered one of his neighbours on Thursday, at around 10 PM. The victim has been identified as Som Bahadur Gurung from the same area.

Pariyar murdered Gurung and reached the police station with the victim’s head at around one in the morning. "The bag that Pariyar brought had Gurung'shead and the weapon he had used to commit the crime," informed SP Rabindra Regmi of the District Police Office, Dhading.


"Pariyar himself admitted to the crime," said SP Regmi.


According to Regmi, Pariyar murdered Gurung because they were involved in a minor scuffle. . Initial investigation has shown that the fight between them was not serious. "We have found that Pariyar had not planned the murder. He spontaneously killed Gurung during a fight," said Regmi.


Regmi also informed that Pariyar himself showed where he had kept Gurung's remaining body. The body has been sent to a hospital for an autopsy.
