Bhuwan Thapa, 38, of Salakpur, Mrigauliya-9 succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. Roshan Thapa who was injured in the fight, is receiving treatment at the hospital.
Thapa was hit by a sharp weapon by a gang led by Surya Nepal as revenge over an old feud, police said.
Police have detained five persons in connection with the incident.
