Area Police Office (APO) of Chandrapur Municipality on Wednesday arrested Budhha Bahadur Thing, 23, who reportedly raped his neighbor's daughter in Rangapur VDC-5 of the district.Although the incident of rape had allegedy taken place on Monday evening, the matter came to light only after two days.
Thing had taken the child behind a nearby shrub and raped her, according to the victim's family. The girl was later found in the shrub cyring for help.
"He threatened me to kill me if I shared the incident with anyone," she said.
However, the girl who sustained injuries in her private parts had shared the incident with her friends, who later informed her parents. After this, the parents reported the incident to police, who lodged a case against the alleged rapist at APO, Chandrapur.
Police said they have started investigation on the accused, said DSP Netramani Giri at APO Chandrapur.
Following the complaint at the APO, the rape victim was rushed to Chandranigahapur Hospital for a medical test. DSP Giri said they have yet to receive a medical report.
