50-year-old Dal Bahadur Rai killed his son Gambhir Bahadur Rai over a domestic spat in Banskote-6 last night, locals said.
The heated disputed over delay for planting rice resulted in the death, according to locals.
Principal at Banskote High School Mahesh Rai said Dal Bahadur first attacked his son with a knife and then with a khukuri killing him on the spot.
