KATHMANDU, Aug 1: Police have taken control of a man-eating tiger in Kanchanpur district.
Hira Shah, a resident of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-2, Kanchanpur, was killed by the tiger on Thursday. Umesh Joshi, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, said that about 24 hours following the incident, police took control of the tiger from Kamalsa.
Human-Tiger Coexistence Amidst Rising Tiger Population
Joshi said that the tiger, which had attacked a woman, was taken under control near the incident site. Elephants were used in the search operation for the tiger since yesterday. According to DSP Joshi, the tiger was taken to the Shuklaphanta National Park on Friday.
