Man charged of murder attempt arrested after 11 years on the run

GAUSHALA, April 23: A man who had been on the run since attempting to murder his neighbour has been arrested by Mahottari police after 11 years since the incident took place.

Mujim Rayin,28, of Nainhi VDC-3 in the district was arrested on Wednesday by a police team from the District Police Office. Rayin had reportedly fled to India following the incident but returned home last night, according to DSP Lokendra Shrestha.Accused Rayin had stabbed his neighbour Motim Ansari,18, in an attempt to kill him in an incident that took place on 18 April 2004.

A case of attempt to murder will be filed against the accused after completing the due process and investigation, said DSP Shrestha. RSS
