KANCHANPUR, April 3: A male wild elephant was found dead on Thursday in Baduwal Tole, Dodhara Chandani Municipality-13 in the district.
The elephant was found near the border area, within Nepalese territory. According to Ward Chairperson Hari Singh Dhanadi, a team from Shuklaphanta National Park including veterinary doctors has reached the scene to investigate and examine the cause of death,

Local residents informed authorities after the elephant was found dead in the morning. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, but the elephant is believed to be around 8 to 10 years old.
Similarly, another elephant was found dead in the Janai area of Laljhadi Rural Municipality two months ago.
