Make clear view on 7-pt deal: Maoist tells UML

KATHMANDU, Feb. 23: The Unified CPN (Maoist) has urged the CPN-UML to make public its clear view regarding the seven-point agreement.



In a meeting held between the two parties on Wednesday  morning at Singhadurbar, the Maoist party made this plea after the UML Central Committee on Tuesday didn´t make a clear decision on the deal signed between Prime Minister and UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.[break]



In the meeting, Khanal apprised Maoist leaders about the decision made his party regarding the deal.



Maoist Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that his party will hold its Politburo meeting on Thursday and make public its official decision.



Maoist Chairman Dahal and Vice Chairmen trio Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Mohan Baidhya and Shrestha represented the Maoist side in the meeting.



PM Khanal, senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel were from the UML side.
