Maitighar-Babarmahal area tense

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: A rally organized by conflict affected army and police national struggle committee took a nasty turn after the police fired tear gas in an attempt to contain the situation on Wednesday.



Maitighar-Babarmahal area remained tense after police tried to detain the rally enforcers who tried to enter the restricted area.



The committee, which has been organizing phase wise sit-in protests and demonstration since November 13, demanding to form a high level investigation commission and fair investigation of real conflict victims had even launched a fast-unto-death protest.
