Maharjan wins mini marathon

KATHMANDU, April 24: Krishna Maharjan timed 29.49 minutes to win the Kathmandu Valley-wide Third Mini Marathon under men´s 35 years category on Friday. The event was organized by Christian Sports Fellowship Nepal to mark the Lokatantra Day. [break]



Sujan Lama finished second with 30.51 minutes timing and Samuel Tamang clocked 31.8 minutes for the third spot to complete the eight kilometers long race.



In men´s above 35 years category, Gopaldas Shrestha (39.31 minutes), Michael Yakha (43.34 minutes) and Prakash Subba (44.36 minutes) secured the top three positions, respectively.



In women´s under 35 years category, Hillary, Bhawana Sunwar and Maya Deula secured the top three spots. Likewise, Bijayakala Rai, Krishna Kumari and Sabina Chamling secured the top three places in women´s above 35 years category.
