A meeting of the four parties on Thursday decided to support to any of the two parties -- UCPN (Maoist) or NC -- which guarantees peace and constitution and commits to address Madhes’s agenda. [break]
The parties are set to publicize a concept paper incorporating their conditions for the support to new government on Friday. If the Madhesi parties support, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is likely elected new PM.
MPRF-D Chairman Bijaya Gachchhadar said they will hold meeting with the Maoists and NC on Friday before taking any decision on their support any of the party.
Sources said the parties are set to demand guarantee for reservation of Madhesis in all state organs, integration and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants without delay, guarantee for pluralism, press freedom, human rights, independent judiciary and autonomous Madhes province, bulk integration of Madhesis into national army and promulgation of constitution by mid-April, among other things.
