Madhesi leaders smear DCC signboard with black liquid

BIRGUNJ, March 20: Madhesh-based parties have put black ink-like liquid substance over the façade of the signboard of District Coordination Committee(formerly District Development Committee) to cover the words signifying the recent restructuring of local administrative bodies on Sunday morning.

BIRGUNJ, March 20: Madhesh-based parties have put black ink-like liquid substance over the façade of the signboard of District Coordination Committee(formerly District Development Committee) to cover the words signifying the recent restructuring of local administrative bodies on Sunday morning.


It is less than a week since District Development Committee was transformed into District Coordination Committee in an effort to restructure the local bodies in the changed political context.

Leaders of Madhesh-based parties announced to disrupt the local polls and the implementation of the new local levels under which the local polls are supposed to be held.


They have tried to justify their action saying that they have no other option than to resorting to such an action in a situation in which the government has been indifferent to their genuine demands.


District level leaders representing Madhesh-based parties including Federal Socialist Forum(FSF) district leader Pradip Yadav, National Madhesh Socialist(NMS) leader Prembabu Patel  and Sadhbhawana Party(SP) leader Ishworchandra Yadav  were involved in the act of smearing the new signboard with black liquid.
