RAUTAHAT, July 16: Madhesh-based political parties on Thursday burnt a copy of draft constitution in Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, amid CA feedback collection program organized by the Constitution Suggestions Sub-Committee.

As soon as the program started, central committee member of Sadbhawana Party, Yogendra Yadav, along with other Madhesh-based political leaders and cadres snatched the draft from the organizers and burnt it in front of the metropolitan office in the presence of Chief District Officer (CDO) Madan Bhujel.

Yadav complained that the draft constitution was full of blunders and that it would not be accepted to the people. The protesting leaders shouted slogans inside the meeting hall before boycotting the meeting.

After the brief obstruction, the meeting took place in the presence of locals and civil society.

"We are here to collect feedbacks from the people. Rather than obstructing the process, they could've provided feedbacks and suggestions for addressing their grievances," said CA member Jitendra Yadav.
