Madhesh Province to see local by-election in seven constituencies

DHANUSHA, Nov 11: The local by-election, scheduled for December 1, will be held in seven constituencies (wards), including in Saptari, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara and Rautahat districts of Madhesh Province.

DHANUSHA, Nov 11: The local by-election, scheduled for December 1, will be held in seven constituencies (wards), including in Saptari, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara and Rautahat districts of Madhesh Province. 


By-elections for the ward chair positions will be held in Dakneshwari Municipality-1 and 4 of Saptari, Dhanushadham Municipality-1 of Dhanusha, Ramgopalpur Municipality-2 of Mahottari, Ishnath Municipality-7 and Rajpur Municipality-6 of Rautahat, and Gadhimai Municipality-8 of Bara.

The Election Commission has scheduled the by-elections for December 1 to fill 44 vacant positions, including two district coordination committee chiefs, two rural municipality chairs, four vice-chairs, one municipality mayor, one deputy mayor, and 34 ward chairs. The Commission has set November 17 as the candidate registration date.
