KATHMANDU, Sept 17: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that Madhav Kumar Nepal, who has formed a new party, CPN (Unified Socialist), will eventually return to the CPN-UML.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski, in Pokhara on Friday, he said, “We had agreed on 10 points under the leadership of Madhav Nepal, but he splitted the party without adequate discussion and it didn't go well. I urge other cadres not to follow Nepal.”

Secretary Bhattarai also said that once the age limit of 70 years is implemented for the party's executive posts, young leaders will soon lead the party. Similarly, he stressed that the government has not been able to expand the cabinet even 65 days after it was formed and that it has lost credibility in the eyes of the international community. The only solution to this is to go for election under the leadership of UML.

Similarly, he said that it was high time that the government made its official position clear on the MCC. Also, he said that he is against the ‘mass media bill’ as it could curb the freedom of journalists.
