Madhav Nepal’s CPN (Unified Center)’s student union burns effigy of Indian PM Modi

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: Enraged by the incident of Darchula, the student union affiliated to the Madhav Nepal led-CPN (Unified Socialist) burned an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital on Friday.

The student union staged the protest in front of RR Campus displaying placards demanding justice for Jaya Singh Dhami who has been missing in the Mahakali River for a month after an Indian SSB man cut the cable of the improvised cable crossing he was using to get across the river.

The home ministry had earlier formed an investigation committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Janardan Gautam to probe the incident that took place on July 30.

The probe committee formed to find out the truth behind the incident of disappearance of Jayasingh Dhami has concluded that the incident took place in the presence of the Indian Seema Surkchhya Bal (SSB).
