TAPLEJUNG, Nov14: Prime Minister Madhav Nepal said on Sunday that the recent talks among the major political parties has failed to yield results as the leaders have given more priority to government leadership instead of the concentrating their efforts on the task of constitution drafting and completing the peace process.

“It is not difficult to find a solution if the political parties focused on completion of the peace process,” said Nepal while addressing a function in Taplejung.[break]

Nepal said democracy has so far failed to take roots in Nepal as the political parties are always concerned about power. He, however, expressed hope that the parties would soon find a solution to the political deadlock.

The prime minister said that though his government is a caretaker one, it will bring in the annual budget to prevent the country from sliding into deep crisis. “The government will not wait any longer,” he said.
