KATHMANDU, June 23: Lumbini World Peace Forum (LWPF), an organization based in Nepal, has joined hands with the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) for their shared commitment to advancing global peace and security.


According to a statement issued by LWPF, the partnership between LWPF and ICAN signifies a united effort to advocate The abolition of nuclear weapons worldwide. LWPF will actively contribute to ICAN's mission of raising awareness about the urgent need for nuclear disarmament and promoting dialogue on peaceful conflict resolution, according to the statement.

“We are deeply honored to be welcomed into the ICAN family. By working together, we firmly believe that we can make a significant difference in our collective efforts to achieve a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons,” reads the statement issued by Basu Gautam, Co-Founder and President of LWPF.


The statement mentions that the collaboration between LWPF and ICAN underscores joint dedication to achieving a world without nuclear weapons with combined efforts in advocating disarmament, promoting dialogue, and fostering a culture of peace.
