KATHMANDU, May 6: Bhandari Lal Ahir, a provincial assembly member representing the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) in Lumbini Province, has returned to office as the Minister for Agriculture, Food Technology and Land Management.
Following discussions with Chief Minister Jokh Bahadur Mahara, Ahir assumed office at the ministry and commenced his duties on Monday.
JSP’s Ahir resigns from Lumbini Cabinet
Ahir, initially appointed as a minister on April 7, was designated as the agriculture minister by Chief Minister Mahara on April 19. During the government's formation in the province, there was a written agreement to allocate two ministries to the JSP. However, citing allocation of only one ministry, the JSP had decided to withdraw from the provincial government, leading to Ahir's resignation on April 22.
