Lumbini Province Assembly prepares to approve Civil Service Bill in today’s meeting

DANG, Sept 8: The 25th meeting of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is being held today, Friday. The provincial Civil Service Bill pending in the provincial assembly is expected to be approved in the meeting that will begin at 1PM.

According to the agenda of the provincial assembly, Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary will present a proposal to discuss and pass a bill with a report to regulate the formation, operation and conditions of service of the provincial civil service.

After that, there is an agenda to present the proposal for decision by Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat Durlab Kumar Pun, according to Speaker Tularam Gharti Magar.

The provincial Civil Service Bill, registered on July 7, was referred to the Provincial Affairs and Law Committee by the provincial assembly for discussion. The committee subsequently formed a sub-committee to gather suggestions and discuss the bill. The report, based on these suggestions, was presented in a meeting held on Thursday.
