KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Lumbini General Insurance (LGI) Company Limited is organizing Lumbini Insurance Invitational Golf Tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Kathmandu.

Organizing a press conference in the capital on Thursday, LGI President Manohar Das Mool informed that the tournament to be played over 18 holes in ¾ stableford format will see participation of about 100 amateur golfers.

Male golfers will be offered a maximum of 24 handicaps and 36 for female golfers.However, only the invited golfers will be eligible to compete in the tournament.

Trophies will be awarded to the winner of various 11 categories -- men's, women's and senior winner and runner up, gross winner, most birdies, longest drive, closest to the pin and best sportsmanship.
