KATHMANDU, April 12: Chief minister (CM) of Lumbini Province, Jokh Bahadur Mahara, has officially requested the provincial assembly members to give him their votes of confidence.
Chief Minister Mahara, who is also the leader of the Maoist parliamentary party in the Lumbini Province Assembly, requested for a vote of confidence in the Assembly meeting held on Friday.
He said that he is serving as the third chief minister in this legislative term due to recent shifts in politics at the center. He expressed confidence that all members of the assembly would give him a vote of confidence.
He added that he will coordinate with not only the ruling parties but also the opposition to govern effectively.
He also said that the provincial Cabinet would soon be expanded.
