JANAKPURDHAM, Jan 19: The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) Nepal formed a high-level dialogue committee to quickly conclude the ongoing unity talks among the Madhesh-based parties.
Party Chairman Mahanath Thakur announced the formation of the committee through a statement, naming Senior Co-Chairman Sarbendra Nath Shukla and Senior Vice Chairman Laxman Lal Karna as members.
The LSP previously formed a five-member task force to emphasize the need for dialogue, cooperation, and functional unity among political forces struggling for political rights. Thakur announced the dissolution of the task force and the formation of a high-level dialogue committee.

The task force included Senior Vice Chairman and Madhesh Province Chairman Jitendra Prasad Sonar, Senior Vice Chairman Uma Kanta Jha, Vice Chairman Ram Prakash Chaudhary, General Secretary Dr Surendra Kumar Jha, and General Secretary Manish Kumar Mishra.
Earlier, the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, led by Upendra Yadav, formed a committee under Raj Kishore Yadav's leadership through its executive meeting to foster cooperation and unity among Madhesh-based parties.
Similarly, CK Raut's Janmat Party and Resham Chaudhary's Nagrik Unmukti Party are currently working on efforts for cooperation.
Additionally, Hridayesh Tripathi, chairman of the Janata Pragatisheel Party, has initiated dialogue and appealed for unity among the Madhesh-based forces.
