Love from family

As per Warren Buffet, “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” Similarly, whatever we are today is all because of our parents. They gave everything they had to ensure our bright future. We can credit a major portion of our success to our parents. They put days, and nights together to help us reach our current position.

Falling in Love

But sadly, most of us take their love and sacrifices for granted. We don’t give them the respect they deserve. Sometimes, we go against their will and end up hurting their feelings. At an older age, they tend to take even the minutes of things by heart, but despite all the pain, they forgive us for our deeds and give us another chance. With our growing age, we get engaged with other duties, and subsequently, abandon them.

We should never forget that the life lessons, and teachings our parents give us, right after birth, is the reason behind our success. We understand their true love only when we become parents and our children start behaving the same way.

According to Desmond Tutu, “You don’t choose your family. They are god’s gift to you, as you are to them”.

Regardless of our hectic schedule and the number of people we meet in the professional half of the day, we need to go back to our root at the end of the day. Family, love, and affection are the basic requirements for  all humans. Our achievements are meaningless if there is no one to share our joy and happiness with. Therefore, our family gives us the reason to live. Right from birth, our parents shower us with love, and as we grow older, we get immense love and care from other members of the family. We are social beings.

If we truly want to know the importance of family then we should look at people with no one to depend on. We only realize the importance of someone or something when we lose them. So let’s not wait for that to happen. Think before it’s too late.
