Police have found Bista´s photo in uniform from his cell phone recovered from Bagale´s body, according to DSP Pawan Kumar Giri.
Both Balami and Bista are compatriots at the same battalion and had known Bagale through Pariyar. Bagale´s husband had died two years ago while Pariyar´s had married another woman. Friends Bagale and Pariyar were living in Kusumkhola after being single.
"She used to say that her relation with Balami was over and would show Bista´s photo saying that he is her boyfriend now," Bagale´s younger sister Bishnu said.
"She had stayed with Bista in Tansen on January 29 night and consequently quarreled with Pariyar over the issue and they were not on speaking terms since then," Bishnu added. Bishnu confirmed that both Balami and Bista had known her sister through Pariyar.
Bagale´s younger brother Prem said his sister had gone stray and established unnecessary contacts with men after buying a mobile phone. "Srijana knew that my sister had Rs 100,000 and gold at home and my nephew and niece lost their lives due to Srijana´s involvement," Prem reasoned.
He said the investigation into the killing was delayed due to the involvement of army soldiers. "I have been going to the police daily but have not got any answer to my queries," he fumed.
Yam Kumari Bagale, 55, daughter Tulasa, 27, and Tulasa´s eight-year-old daughter Sandhya and five-year-old son Sanjeev were killed in Thimure on February 10. Tulasa of Kusumkhola had come to her maternal home with her children.
Soldier Balami from Gulmi is currently in police custody while investigation is on about the others.
Meanwhile, police have objected to the news of non-cooperation by Nepal Army in the case.
Issuing a press statement Sunday, Nepal Police Spokesperson DIG Bigyan Raj Sharma said, "No detail of the case has been revealed as the investigation is still under way…And we have received full support from Nepal Army and all other parties in the investigation."
