Love?

By No Author
KATHMANDU. Feb 14: I’m not the greatest preacher of love nor am I somebody who has overpowered everything else (like some people claim to) by being in love. And, yet I’m writing about love.

Why? I don’t know. At times, in fact most of the time, I ask myself – What exactly is love? Inevitably, every time I end up with bafflement and I don’t know.[break]

Still, it can be heard and even seen to some extent that this very ineffable thing called ‘love’ has such a profound impact on people.

Some get inspired, invigorated and livened up while at the same time, others end up with despair and much worse sometimes. Some even don’t fall behind to utter ‘I have no reasons to live anymore.’ Why so? Well, I don’t know again.

However, the love that’s being talked about here is for a person – who might be for your mother, father, sibling or a friend. But I know mostly it’s for somebody you want to call your girlfriend/boyfriend.

If I was to opine, I would say that this invincible thing called ‘love’ doesn’t necessarily have to be for somebody you can hold your hands, hug, kiss or cuddle with.

That’s why I say that nobody around here or anywhere is so called ‘single.’ It’s just that they haven’t yet recognized their love that’s always been there.

Me? Of course, I found it long ago – my guitar. Being with it and playing it brings the joy that no other thing or being in this universe can ever bring along.

What exactly is love then? I guess it’s something that brings happiness and joy in your life and makes you embrace the optimistic side of everything and I guess it’s something that’s felt rather than said.

So, this Valentine, rather than bemoaning for not being in a relationship, why don’t you discover your own love?
