TERHATHUM, Jan 5: The elected local representatives of Terhathum have expedited their visits to various wards and localities in order to brief the locals on the projects implemented in the last one and a half years and to take suggestions for the upcoming projects.
Understanding the busy schedule of the locals, the representatives have reached their doorsteps so as to discuss their achievements and future projects. Not just that, the representatives are also distributing the budget meant for agriculture and animal husbandry. Mayor Sanjay Kumar Tumbahang said that they also conducted a separate interaction with the locals. Mayor Tumbahang added that the other purpose of visiting the locals was to hear from them regarding the fulfilling of the election promises. Participating in various programs conducted in the wards, the locals stressed finding sustainable solutions for drinking water and irrigation problems.

Likewise, Chatthar Rural Municipality is also conducting various programs for the locals in its various wards, according to chairperson Santabir Limbu. He says these programs have helped them to understand the needs of the people directly. Like in other local units, the people here have pointed the lack of drinking water as their main problem.
Furthermore, Arjunbabu Mabuhang, mayor of Laligurans Municipality, said that the local unit is making efforts to start a bus service in the municipality as all its wards have access to roads. He claimed that all representatives are working as per the expectations of the locals.
Meanwhile, Man Bahadur Limbu, chairperson of Athrai Rural Municipality, one of the most backward areas in the whole district, claimed that the rural municipality has made significant achievements in the last one and a half years. He said the rural municipality tried to solve the drinking water problem of the locals through deep boring systems.
