KATHMANDU, June 26: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has slashed the existing 42-hour load shedding to 35 hours a week effective from Wednesday.

As per the new schedule, there will be power outage for six hour in two days, five hours in four days and three hours in one day a week.

The NEA has attributed the reduction in power outage hours to increased water levels in the river due to the arrival of monsoon in recent days.
