Karki was suffering from jaundice for a long and breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Kalanki-based Martyr Memorial Hospital.
Different books including Swift Stipple, Anonymous Father and Other Poems, Voices from Nepal and Other Voice, Nepal Characters and Other Couples´ Poems are published in his name.
Karki´s final rites were performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday, according to litterateur Gopal Parajuli.
