KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Novelist and poet Bhawani Ghimire passed away at the age of 80, reported Avenues Television.
His last rites are being performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday.
Ghimire published the literary magazine ´Bhanu´ from Morang. The monthly magazine was highly popular for its quality content in the 70s´.

Ghimire was also the founding chairman of Nepal Literary Journalists´ Association.
In 2005, Ghimire was awarded with the annual ´Balchandra Award’ by the Balchandra Memorial Foundation.
Ghimire was a diabetic.
